East Branch is Recovering!

Posted by anglersden in Fly Fish and Tying Gallery

We fished the East Branch of the Croton for a couple hours 10/5 & 10/6 after work. The water was cool (lower 60's) and the flows at 320-290 CFS. This is still very high for this river historically. Although fishing your staple nymphs (hares ear, prince nymph, pheasant tail, copper john) sizes 12- 18 will be your best bet, small blue wing olives are hatching and occasionally you will see a rising fish in your peripheral .
